Last week, Goojet won the start-up competition that was organized for the conference Le Web 3 in Paris. It was a real surprise for us and thanks to winning the competition Goojet has gained a lot of audience, contacts etc…

But let’s go back to the competition. To win, we had to succeed in two steps:
- First selection: almost 120 start-ups had sent an application to the organization. 30 were selected to have the right to present their solution. To be one of the chosen few, we had to fill in a dossier that was to be examined by the selection committee. Cathy presented an overview of the selection process in the Le Web 3 conference blog.
- Second selection: The pitch. The rules were simple but terrifying: You had 7 minutes (and not a second more) to present the solution in front of a panel of experts and web professionals. It was actually more a case of presenting the idea and concept than just the company or the solution. This presentation was performed in the start-up dock, in front of something close to a hundred spectators and the jury consisting of five experts. There were about 30 jury members in total, but they were split into groups that each judged around five to six candidates, based upon the same criteria.
We won this ordeal thanks to the Goojet solution, but also thanks to respecting the rules imposed by the selection process and the great pitch by Marc (Marc Rougier, our CEO).
We would like to send a huge congratulations to all the other projects that presented during the competition. There were plenty of interesting solutions that also could have deserved the title.
This award has been a shot of energy for the team that has been working (very) hard on creating a solution that truly aims at fulfilling the end user needs. Upcoming posts will focus more on our team, since one should never forget that the quality of the solution is directly dependant upon the quality of the team!
Thomas, the Goojet Team
